I care about this issue because I am an avid pet lover and have volunteered at local shelters to save lives. My son's former cat that passed, gave me so much comfort when my dog was in the hospital. He wouldn't leave me alone until I calmed down. I will never forget the love he offered to me. How can anyone hurt an innocent animal especially one that you owned and that offered his love to you! They should be prosecuted to the highest level as these poor defenseless creatures depend on our care and should not to be violated and killed. She could have taken it to a shelter if it annoyed her in some way. Instead she chose to hurt and kill.
I care about this issue because as a cat owner I believe cats shouldn't be abused. I also believe people that abuse animals should receive a punishment. It's unfair to treat animals this way. Animals deserve to be loved and respected. Since they can't talk us humans should do our part and love animals no matter what and treat them correctly.
When i was little i remember seeing homeless cats. As i got older i was and am able to care for lives (cats) humans and laws ignore. When i see mother cats care for her babies who are on the streets, i know they NEED US TO DO better. They need us to help them get spay or neutered and REINFORCE LAWS - PACT-ACT- that shld help protect the millions of cats who are either tortured, rape(NJ 18 yr old male SA n killed a cat) or used as bait for criminals who force their dogs to rip them apart. Judges in America need to protect victims from sadistic humans. Cats are not objects. Cats bleed, cry out in pain, feel vulnerability n fear, the moms milk their young, they show good humans appreciation
The amount of dead animals on the side of the road breaks my heart. I myself hit a kitten about a year ago and took it to an emergency vet to be put down and it was truly one of the worst experiences of my life. I've read that putting animal fences can reduce roadkill by over 50% and I think it's an extremely effective step we can take to preserving our environment the best we can.
