Our buffalo were nearly made extinct by man but for the valiant efforts of many Americans to protect and preserve them. Wildlife Crossings have been proven to be an excellent solution in providing wildlife safe passage across dangerous highways, highways built across their natural travel routes. Animals have adapted to their use and the more Wildlife Crossings we have the better. While there can be no monetary value placed on our Wildlife, there is that consideration when making budget decisions that the money saved in costs to vehicles, insurance, need of emergency and law enforcement and lives easily offset construction costs. Wildlife Crossings are a win-win solution. As a taxpayer I would be thrilled to have my tax dollars pay for more Wildlife Crossings.
Keep buffalo safe! Before humans, they used to roam in millions, and recently became nearly extinct. They’re important to many cultures, and essential to the ecosystem. Humans thrive most when we respect all living beings and understand the delicate balance of life on this planet. We are all one. <3
My wife and I, along with our dog, were attack by two dogs from a house one block off the trolly track trail. My wife was knocked to the ground and bit in the face. I suffered multiple bites on my hands and arms while pulling the dogs off my wife then off our dogs. We almost lost our dog after 5 broken ribs, a punctured lung and torn up abdomen. No response from Kansas City Pet Project for almost 5 days. Dogs never picked up or checked out for vaccines info. No contact with the owners.
I'm signing this petition because I believe that animals deserve to be treated with dignity and not hurt, starved, or abused. They deserve to be with loving, nurturing owners.
My fiancé was bit by a dog that KCPP refused to take. And you guessed it - the dog was a Pitbull. Behavior exhibited by a company which is what KCPP is - can actually be summed up in one word, EMBARRASSING. what happens when the dog that bit my Fiancé goes through another fence and mauls a child unassuming in its own backyard? Will KCPP take that dog and euthanize or will they take it upon themselves to be “saviors” and try and rehabilitate it? You know the answer and it’s the latter.
Although I m an Olathe resident , the women & men who support these animal causes in a volunteer aspect on BOTH Sides of the state line are extremely exhausted . They are true hero's & Sheros .The depth to which they ( volunteers) pour energy into these 4 legged friends is truly impressive , awe inspiring & selfless . 🏅.I will continue to drop of $15 & $20 donations when I am near . A list of these well deserving shelters would be great .I try to share a little to each of the pet sanctuarie as I possibly can 🌹👼
Our pets are part of the family. We rescued our dogs from a high kill shelter in N.C. These litter mates have been inseparable, the female was by her brothers side when he passed. Dogs have feelings too ! It's not just us humans that feel the pain.
Mercifully, we haven't lost our 15 year old dog to Librela but that's almost certainly because we stopped the treatment after the 3rd injection. The main reason we stopped was because Librela caused excessive thirst in our dog and consequently excessive urination. This caused us all stress and damage to our flooring. We hadn't been warned of this side effect or indeed any side effects. We feel truly sorry that dogs have suffered and died.
