It's not about the stray dogs. It's about the lack of homes and mental health treatment for them. All they need is some love. Every dog has gone through some trauma. Care for pets is still a useless topic for most but if you want to be like the west in cleanliness, adopt thier genuine kindness for even abandoned animals. That's when true justice will be served towards stray dogs.
Stray and ownerless dogs have a right to co-exist in the community like we humans do. The Supreme Court should reconsider its decision.
Street dogs deserve compassion, not cruelty. They are living beings who feel pain, fear, and love just like us. Instead of punishment, we must focus on humane solutions like sterilization, vaccination, and adoption. Every life matters, and protecting street dogs is a reflection of our humanity.
Even the most senior judges, with all their education, should understand that humanity is not about laws—it’s about compassion. Street animals feel pain just like we do. If we throw stones, sticks, or hot water at them, how can we expect them to stay silent? No living being can tolerate cruelty. Instead of punishing them for defending themselves, we should be protecting, feeding, sterilizing, and vaccinating them so they can live peacefully alongside us.
U used to feed 100 dogs daily for past 9 years .they all are very soft nature dogs.we have to sterlize and vaccinate them so that we can control quantity of strays
I haven’t lived in India since 2013, but I still remember the little dogs that roamed our colony and the joy and happiness I got from feeding them and petting them and seeing their happy faces. As a mental health provider, I know the value dogs and animals bring to our lives and help reduce stress and increase dopamine in our brains. Protect these babies, not just for them but for your own mental health.
