I care about all animal cruelty because by the way my neighbors treat their animals is the way they behave. And I do not want to be surrounded by serial killers. Animals have feelings and deserve to live a peaceful life.

I believe that people who commit acts of abuse to innocent animals can become abusive or violent towards human beings. I believe this act of cruelty towards Boo-boo was a precursor of what may happen to this family and in a way with divine intervention the cat ultimately saved this family. We need to prosecute individuals to the full extent of the law not only to protect innocent animals but also our communities from violent perpetrators.

Inhumane treatment should not go unpunished or unrehabilitated. I would also like to see the perpetrator do community service at an animal shelter to foster a sense of compassion for animals, and maybe to help heal whatever is broken within that person.
