I think that yondr pouches are being used as excuses for teachers and admin to pay attention to children without yondr pouches instead of trying to stop bullying or kids doing real harm. taking away after school will do a great deal to children's mental health, especially due to us being in our early teens. I don't know if I would've got through school without getting to talk to my friends in 8th grade through after school, and most of us are already depressed and going through much. taking away after school programs would amplify it.

After school activities in middle school promote kids to find what they enjoy, socialize, and build strong work ethics to help them in high school. We should not be taking these opportunities away from middle schoolers, a very important age for children to be exposed to different things.

I found a lot of my friends through clubs that I participate in and the thought of after school getting canceled entirely is shocking.

These programs are so important to mental health and to expressing yourself. I’ve grown so much over the past two years in MUN and I can’t even fathom the possibility and reality that other people my age entering middle school with the same uncertainty I had won’t be able to join these wonderful communities.

It is extremely important to have these. Especially since after school clubs are how many people, me included, to make a lot of friends. During Theatre I probably made about 30 friends, and when i'm struggling in school or do bad on a test I stay after because I care about my future. Getting rid of these clubs, study hall, and staying after with teachers is super important, especially because teachers get paid to stay after school.

Afterschool, for a lot of people, is something that lets them do something other than just go home and do nothing. It lets people interact with other people in ways that they might not otherwise, or would not have met at all without after school. It also lets people improve their grades and their situation in a certain class, because it lets people see their teachers when they otherwise might not be able to see them outside of class. It also means that people can escape their parents, if they have a situation where their parents might be abusive. If after school is gone, it ruins a lot of what people want to do, and what they look forward to throughout the week.
