This should not be an issue especially for low income students. Money is already being taken for tuition, housing, meals, extracurriculars, and so much more for us to have a successful future. The least we can have is a free place to park and feel safe our car our only source of transportation won’t be ticketed or even towed.

Students already pay thousands in tuition, which includes campus-based fees for services and infrastructure. Adding extra costs for parking unfairly burdens low-income individuals and creates barriers to access education and work. This is an equity issue that needs to be addressed.

My phone died before I got to my last bus. I was scared. I can’t afford an uber on top of a train ticket. If I had my car, which I can’t afford to keep here, I could go home more, not feel so isolated, and be able to get my basic needs met (recently I’ve had to plan a week in advance of when I could get my shoes repaired because a shoe repair is 10 minute drive, aka 1 hour bus ride away).

Why should we have surgeries when we can prevent other diseases, improve our health and our quality of life? Because the 1% loses money. I stopped taking other medications since taking this. It is not covered by my insurance, only one of the several pharmacies carry the brand prescription and I can not afford to pay the costs of brand prescriptions. I have arthritis in both my knees and it is imperative that I lose weight. If the compound medication is not available I will not be able to use this medication.

It’s awful that we have medication at our hands that can prevent diabetes yet we’re not allowed to have it without being diabetic. Not to mention diabetes automatically cuts your life short and I’m a parent of a special needs child and can not have my life cut short due to something my body can not control. These companies need to do better!
