As somebody who struggles with mental health issues, the concept of a police officer refusing to try to understand when somebody is going through something is utterly terrifying, especially when taking into account how stigmatized certain disorders are.

I have went through a similar experience with a family member and the youngstown court system and it seems they don't like to listen to the facts or seek the truth. Harris County & Texas in general has constantly let these people off with just a slap on the wrist and allowed them to go back out and reoffend. It's absolutely disgusting. He murdered her! Then took her dogs and dumped them he knew what he was doing. If this was your family member I'm sure you would make sure your buddies would hold him accountable to the fullest. To you she's just another face but to the people she deserves true JUSTICE!

He thought this through, he knew she was leaving him, he knew that she would no longer stay in an abusive relationship with any longer.
So her punishment for trying to remove herself from a dangerous situation was only to be violently murdered.
His bond should NOT be lowered BUT be increased.
No it will NOT bring Kristen back BUT we need to have ZERO tolerance for premeditated murder in domestic abuse homes.
Their families are already suffering without further injury from our judiciary system.
STAND AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE and STAND UP FOR THEIR VICTIMS AND FAMILIES.

This man killed his own wife, and yet the justice system is acting like a few restrictions and a tracking device are enough to keep people safe?! This is exactly where justice makes no sense. How can someone who murdered his own wife be allowed to walk free under any circumstances? If he’s dangerous enough to need weapons bans, drug restrictions, electronic monitoring, and house arrest, then he’s dangerous enough to be behind bars where he belongs. What kind of message does this send? That taking a life doesn’t carry real consequences? That the safety of the public of the very people he’s already hurt comes second to his “rights”? Why should anyone have to live in fear knowing a murderer is out roaming the streets?! And if the system won’t serve justice, he should worry that the family might decide to take matters into their own hands. When the courts fail, people are left with no choice but to protect themselves and get justice however they can. This is a complete failure of the justice system, a slap in the face to the victim’s family, and an outright threat to society.
