We need changes worldwide too many Officers are employed despite their dark history !

Our situation involves Sheriff Deputy Mark Daniel Heberlig of Houston County GA despite numerous complaints he has been promoted and complaints of his behaviors including excessive force and harm overlooked read below 

FYI !!!! Numerous complaints were made regarding this officers poor policing over the years before other families became victims he has a DARK history ..... Yet he is still employed & his record allegedly remains clear which is what caused the following incidents below as none of the complaints / court filings had him removed  ⬇️

 My family and I have had two terrible encounters with Georgia Houston County Sheriff Deputy Mark Daniel Heberlig. In 2019, he unjustifiably harassed and pulled over my partner a disabled veteran & cancer center patient with chronic ongoing health issues in the comfort of his own driveway lied saying he was swerving after he followed him 2.5 miles up the road .Despite complaints nothing was done as a result in 2021 according to another family his poor policing is the reason their child is now on a feeding tube ( news article & video links below) More recently in 2022, Heberlig violated my partners civil rights and subjected him to brutal and unjustified physical treatment by slamming him on the hood of his police car over a simple tail light stop .Where he further placed my  autistic son in danger and partner when he called for backup and never told the officers why they were being called which put everyone in danger, he also tried to force my family to leave their phone and come have a conversation which further violated his rights .The back up officers trying to demand a nonverbal child tell them his name after they are told he's nonverbal was so heartbreaking.The backup officer yells to my partner to stop resisting and stop moving but he's seen on body cam standing still 😳. Sheriff Deputy Mark Daniel Heberlig's dark past, which includes an incident involving another families child getting hit by a car, further validates our concerns about his position in the police force.

Despite such troubling instances, he has been permitted to maintain his position, posing an undeniable risk to public safety. Our experiences are not isolated and there exist numerous reports of similar encounters in the public domain, which can be found mentioned in news articles and court files.

This situation calls for immediate action. Mark Daniel Heberlig either needs to step down voluntarily or be terminated to restore public faith in our local law enforcement and ensure the safety and security of Houston County residents.

  Please, we ask you to sign this petition and demand that Sheriff Deputy Mark Daniel Heberlig be held accountable for his actions that directly compromise public safety.The Sheriff Department has not done anything beyond tell us to sue but IT'S deeper than  that he is a public risk and training WON'T  help someone who has a character and ego issue. Integrity, Empathy , Professionalism, Common Courtesy are key 

I am also seeking help to have my partners conviction overturned as the courts WOULDN'T allow a continuation for his trial despite lack of counsel after his attorney retired without INFORMING anyone and despite motions being requested and submissions of proof for working tailights everything was ignored including, heart center records of a family emergency for the trial date I even submitted to make matters worse. The jury selection process had a big conflict of interest as they had a friend of the cops and court staff etc on the jury panel even after that individual revealed his relationship with them but his name will not be revealed because of privacy and he was honest with his relationship with them yet they allowed him to remain on jury panel and after the duress plea taken right before trial for a taillight traffic stop, it was said that one jury member went with the cops etc as all other jury members exited a different route which would further prove the conflict of interest so it makes one wander how often has that been allegedly done on jury selection process. He served one year of probation for a taillight stop for working taillights and obstruction charge. 

I'd much rather say one word CORRUPT and JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED we can't even ride up the road without worrying if we will be harrassed . Thank You for your time
