Antisemitism is one of the oldest forms of hate in this world. Whether it’s for attention or it lives deep within him, his actions and words have real consequences that affect Jewish people everywhere. It threatens our existence. It needs to be stopped.
I have visited twice Auschwitz camp and several holocaust museums before Oct.7th. Each time what goes through your mind is- how could this have happened? How did the world allow this? Mind blowing . And now we see and live this reality !!!! How can this be happening!!!! Between the silence of the people and the sick antisemitic celebrities. As a none Jewish - I now see how throughout history to present the Jewish people have to live and defend themselves. The great importance of having the State of Israel. This is not about sides or political parties - it’s about right from wrong.
This is a no brainer. Antisemitism is at an all time high and we can’t sit in silence anymore. The more we allow the more we just get used to it. Let’s not forget our history and let’s not let it repeat!
During my freshman year of high school, I faced cruel antisemitism, including having food thrown at me and being subjected to hateful gestures. This made me distance myself from Judaism for a while. But I realized the problem wasn't my faith—it was the prejudice. I stood back up and continued to fight, embracing my identity with even more strength and resilience.
I don’t know what else needs to happen. I experienced something well over 37 years ago in middle school plus having comments made to my face. Nothing is new. We can scream it from the rooftops and still silenced! No more
The fact that minors use youtube and I just today got an ad that was so poorly censored and you could clearly hear the person saying "MFer" repeatedly is just appalling. I have children and I feel like I can't even use youtube for music anymore because I'm going to get inappropriate ads and are simply not safe. Ad blocker means I can watch and listen to what I actually want to without the chance of the unfiltered ads from youtube popping up.
If the ads continue, I suggest adding an auto skip feature, so I can listen to music hands free while doing dishes and not have to rinse my hands and skip the 20+ minute ads in between each song.
The idea that YouTube is banning Ad Blockers is ridiculous!! I understand some of the reasons, but not everyone can afford Premium! Besides, the ads that YouTube allows are intrusive, interruptive, and worst of all, a lot of them are unskippable! So we can't just skip the ads even if we wanted to! Ad Blockers give us control over what we want to see or experience, and this ban on ad blockers is making that control harder for us!
