Our children have been students at the Little Big Time Child Development Center for years. This center is not just a school, but as the only Native American childcare facility in our area it has created a community that nurtures the development of our children and celebrates Native American culture. It's heartbreaking to think that this valuable institution may close its doors after over 15 years of service to the community.

Our petition supports the continued operation of Little Big Time. We are parents and members of this community who deeply care about preserving our culture and providing quality education for our children and we urge Little Big Time to remain open so it can continue serving Native American and other children in Sacramento.

For the past 15 years, the Buena Vista Rancheria has supported Little Big Time financially. We urge the Buena Vista Rancheria to collaborate and help ensure a smooth transition so that Little Big Time can continue serving Sacramento families as a non-profit organization.

Signers of this petition are parents of current students, former students, family, friends, and community members who believe in preserving cultural diversity and ensuring access to quality education for all.
