The issue
In solidarity with the people of Palestine, we urgently address the Australian government. The ongoing conflict and blockade have left innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip without essentials like food, water, electricity, and gas. Lives are being lost, and desperation intensifies.
We implore the Australian government to take immediate legislative action, incorporating three critical points:
Ceasefire Legislation: Enact laws demanding an instantaneous and permanent ceasefire in Palestine.
Aid Budget Legislation: Allocate a budget for essential supplies to reach the people of Palestine, especially those in the Gaza Strip.
Initiate Diplomatic Efforts: Take the lead in diplomatic initiatives to promote a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Actively engage in discussions, working towards a just and lasting peace for both Palestinians and Israelis.
These legislative actions are urgent and pivotal. Break the silence, and ensure vital supplies reach those in desperate need. Every person deserves dignity and peace; our moral obligation is to stand against injustice and support those in need.
