Reunite a family separated by immigration

Reunite a family separated by immigration

The Issue

My name is Timothy Andrew Levy, and my family is being torn in two—not by choice, but by the wait. I’m a husband to a U.S. citizen and a father to seven beautiful American children. Right now, my wife is raising our eldest son alone in Connecticut, while I remain across the border in Canada caring for our six younger children—including a newly weaned baby, a child with autism, and another with severe ADHD. My wife and I have always worked as a team to raise our children in faith and love, but we’ve now been separated for months. The burden is crushing—for her, for me, and most of all, for our children, who don’t understand why they can’t be with both parents under the same roof.
If nothing changes, our family will continue to suffer—not just emotionally, but developmentally and financially. Our children are missing out on the safety, balance, and consistency of a united home. Our marriage is tested daily by circumstances we never asked for. Our children’s mental health and sense of security are in jeopardy, especially those who require the most care. No family should have to endure this level of separation while following the legal process in good faith. We’re not asking for shortcuts—we’re asking for compassion, discretion, and lawful urgency.

Every day that passes is another day our children go without the steady, faithful presence of both parents. Time is sacred when it comes to childhood and marriage. We filed our I-130 petition in March 2025 and are fully committed to completing the legal process properly. The U.S. government permits expedited processing in cases of family separation and hardship—and our family qualifies. What we need now is your voice. Your support. Your compassion. Your action.
