in May, 2026, the University of Massachusetts Amherst selected ACC, owned by private equity giant Blackstone, to redevelop it’s housing and dining offerings on campus. This multi year plan, in  no ambiguous terms, will serve to enrich the ultra wealthy at the expense of students, staff, and the university community. we must come together to show this university’s administration who truly matters, the tens of thousands of students, faculty, staff, and employees who call this campus home, work, and A place where we all look after one another. As a community, we embrace a revolutionary spirit, and we must never forget that. It is not too late to force administration answer to us The university community as they should. We must all come together as a community to ensure full public ownership and operation of our housing and dining facilities. Private equity has shown us for many years. They will stop at nothing to line the pockets of the shareholders, and we must never allow them to come after our shelter, food, and livelihood. Together, we can make change and force administration to rethink this backwards deal before it’s too late
