UCLA has less than 50 Black males in the entire freshmen class, and the graduation rate is only 74% (lowest amongst high-ranking institutions). This needs to change. Support this petition if you think universities need more effective diversity intitiatives! Let's start with UCLA, and set the bar for the rest of the country!

There are many situations at UCLA that have negatively affected the campus climate. Many students don't know the history behind these issues, but it is the role of this prestigious institution to educate these students.

Please watch "The Black Bruins" in the link below to hear my views on being a student of color at UCLA.

      Thank you.

This is a very important issue, give others a chance and have diversity at your University. Don't just give, one segment of people a chance at education.

More positive Black representation is needed EVERYWHERE. More of us need to be taught that we can be more than just athletes. I'm starting to feel the revolution approaching again...

FIGURE THIS OUT UCLA. NOW. Cut those first class fares and educate our Black brothers, fathers, lovers, friends, neighbors instead. Stop talking diversity if you are not ACTING on the power, strength, and beauty of diversity. And basketball courts and football fields do not count. My sons will not even consider UCLA until you do.

I'm a California native and I have two children attending college, I think it's shameful that our UC's are so unbalanced.
