      Make Lincoln County No Kill

Tax dollars are being spent to kill domesticated animals to control the population unsuccessfully. We feel those same tax dollars should be reallocated to save those animals and find them homes, as well as reuniting lost ones with their owners, offering low cost spay neuter options, having spay/neuter education, and have frequent adoption events. Many other communities have adopted the plans and policies with great results and we want the same for Lincoln County, NC!  Learn more:

      Exciting News!
MLCNK is on the agenda for the Lincoln County Commissioners meeting this Monday, November 18. We are asking you to attend (wearing orange) in support of our No Kill mission and goals.
The meeting begins at 6:30pm. We will meet in the parking lot of the James W. Warren Citizens Center at 6:10. The address is 115 W. Main Street, Lincolnton on the 3rd Floor.
Please invite others you know to join us. A brief presentation will be delivered to the Board after which we hope to seek a formal vote of approval and support from the County Commissioners.
This is a significant milestone and potentially the start of a new direction for our county and the animals in their care. We urge you to attend and show your support for our mission of saving animals lives.

Animals are man's best friends. Dogs and cats are Just like family members and should be given a chance in a new family's home or returned to their own home. I could cry at the look in this doggy's eyes. He just wants some love.

Dogs and cats give unconditional love. Do NOT kill any more animals.

Because innocent animals not taken care of by humans must have a chance to be adopted and lead as normal a life as possible. I do understand the dilemma of shelters and my heart goes out to those who operate these facilities. A big part of the answer is human responsibility of spaying and neutering.
