Let the BOY sell. Allow him to earn a living once again!

The Issue

On Friday, July 13th, 2012 Jamie lost his job.  Jamie Seabolt, an AVON Representative had  his account closed for violating policies that did not exist.  Which policy?  For going out and selling product.

He was eliminated from the companies 6.5 million Independent Sales Representatives workforce for simply doing his job - selling product.  His account was closed just 3 weeks after being awared "King of the Day" by AVON for his exemplary service to his customers, peers, and AVON management.  He received the award (the only person in his district, male or female, to receive the honor) on stage in front of 400 of his peers and over a dozen of AVON Managment on June 19th in Columbus OH.  Over the past year Jamie has also been utlilized by several AVON District Managers to teach classes ranging from Skin Care, to Color, to even how to host effective parties.  Jamie also serves as mentor to over 80 representatives directly under him.

However, unlike other jobs, as all AVON Independent Sales Representatives are, Jamie is a contractor, so he is uneligible and unentitled for Unemployment.  The sad part is, in the 2 weeks prior to his account closing, Jamie had sold $6,000 worth of AVON product in only 2 weeks.  Not only serving as an income of nearly $3,000 in his pocket but it also serves as a large profit as well for the currently crippled AVON Products Inc.  So, again, why was his account closed?  For selling product in front of a strip plaza for 4 days.

More importantly, the unwritten policies in which AVON claims Jamie violated and shut down his account for, two other female represenatives we're given consent to do on Wednesday, July 18th.  So again, Jamie was shut down and in the same week AVON employees in the same county gave two female representatives support and praise for.

At present, it is costing Jamie $150 hourly in attorney fees to simply fight to get his account back on.  AVON is declining response.

Tell AVON that it is NOT FAIR to take away Jamie's income and to shut him down for no reason.  Tell AVON that they can't expect to return to profit again when they shut down hard working representatives like Jamie from making a living.  TELL AVON TO GIVE JAMIE HIS JOB BACK... that's all he wants...  to make a living and enjoy the work he does as a leader at AVON.
