Forbid shelters from euthanizing animals due to over crowding

I have always been a huge animal lover. It tears me up inside and out that shelters will euthanize perfectly healthy animals just because their facility is over crowded. Animals never get the recognition they rightfully deserve. No matter their age, their lives are taken from them simply because shelters cannot house them all. Its a sad reality we live in and I plan on trying my hardest to change that. I want the lives of these precious animals SAVED and for them to get the chance to live a good life and get the love from humans they deserve. There are so many options for animals to be given the chance to live, but the easiest solution for solving the ever growing pet population is to euthanize them...that's murder and if our justice system convicts us as human beings of committing murder, than why are shelters allowed to euthanize animals due to limited space? Nursing homes, retirement communities, jails, prisons, rehabs, halfway houses, and therapy centers ALL need to jump on board in creating programs within their establishments just for housing animals that need TLC (true love and care). If these facility recommendations get implemented, our citizens can strive in a demanding job market. A great deal of our soldiers, the very ones who fight and die for our country, suffer from post tramatic stress disorder and studies show that working with animals helps them to recover from PTSD. No kill shelters and foster homes can only go so far. I want more done to save animals from ALL methods of euthanasia. Help me in my fight for their lives by signing my petition. Thank you and God Bless.

Overcrowding in shelters is NO EXCUSE to kill perfectly healthy animals that need homes. More facilities are needed to house pets and care for them indefinitely until a loving home is found for the pet. Many people are more than willing to volunteer to help care for the animals. Many people are willing and able to donate to help with the cost of the needs of the pet until they are adopted. STOP KILLING INNOCENT ANIMALS!!!

Dogs and cats are social animals, they need to be with people, we can have our lives enriched just by having them and caring for them. They are much more important than these shelters give them credit for.
