Savanna Branch was a loving, caring and giving 13 year old that had so much to live for. She was a daughter, a sister, a niece, a good friend and my granddaughter. She was an honor student at Mill Creek Middle School in Claremont, NC who won an award for her art work which was on display at Hickory Art Museum and Valley Hills Mall. She was a girl who would do anything for anyone or anything (including animals) She also was very active in her church. On June 17, 2014..A DAY WE WILL NEVER FORGET....she died by suicide from being bullied. Bullying goes on everyday in schools, sports and all around us. Bully-related suicide can be connected to any type of bullying, including physical bullying, emotional bullying, cyber bullying, and sex-ting, or circulating suggestive or nude photos or messages about a person. Not just from other children but adults as well. Use to be seeing a teen suicide was a shock, but  seems now it is just another story on the news. The Statistics are dramatic  and alarming when you look at them. I want to prevent this tragedy from happening to another family. Bullying not only affects the person being bullied but also their family and friends. We need to let all Bullies know this will not be tolerated and they are responsible for their actions.
