Motorola is the only handset manufacturer in the industry that produces Android Smart phones with locked bootloaders. Without getting too technical, this prevents people from installing custom roms, customizing their phones in any way they choose. Motorola retains control. Even though we purchased the phone outright with our own hard-earned money. Please support us by petitioning Motorola to unlock all bootloaders, specifically current phones that are out right now (Droid Razr, Droid Razr Maxx, etc).

This is also something they promised to do last year, and have backed out now. Embrace the spirit of openness, especially now that you're owned by Google, who promotes the openness of the Android operating system.
