Stop Amendment 28 — Red Snapper Reallocation in the Gulf of Mexico

Stop Amendment 28 — Red Snapper Reallocation in the Gulf of Mexico

The Issue

Right now, U.S. fishery managers are considering legislation to reduce the amount of wild caught domestic seafood that is allocated to American consumers. They want to take fish from you to repay massive overfishing by recreational anglers and that's unfair to consumers like you.

Less domestic-caught fish at local markets, restaurants and other retail outlets is not good for consumers. So, we’ve brought together all channels of the seafood industry for a first-ever effort to protect fish for America. Commercial fishermen, processors, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, consumers, restauranteurs, chefs, conservationists, and folks like you are all fighting for sustainably-managed fisheries and YOUR right to enjoy healthy U.S.-caught seafood.
