Recently, Kathleen was shopping at a JC Penney in search of some clothes for a new youtube video. She had a old pair of sunglasses she was holding throughout the day but she put them in her bag while she was at a mall but later, she found a new $20 pair that she liked and she was planning on purchasing them.

Problem was, she forgot that she was holding the new pair of glasses as she began to walk out the store. She thought they were her old pair since she was holding them earlier.

As she was walking out, she was grabbed by the arm and yelled at by a security guard. While they were heading back into the store, she began pleading with the guard to just let her buy the sunglasses since she planned on purchasing them anyway and he rejected her claim then took her to the back office where she was patted down, her arms handcuffed behind her back and forced to sit facing the wall while he wrote a report.

When a uniformed officer came, he understood that she made a simple mistake yet the security guard claimed she was palming the sunglasses.

The worse part of this ordeal is that she has to go to court and pay a fine, she has a criminal record and if she steps foot in the store, they're going to arrest her for trespassing and send her to jail.

The fact that she now has a criminal record can harm her career and her life since she travels to different countries for various reasons.

Kathleen has never been arrested or been in trouble, yet she was treated like a criminal. She should not have to endure this at all.
