最近、資格を持たない自称手話通訳者(士)や、手話を始めたばかりの聴者の方が手話講師をするケースが増えており、その結果、手話講師の質が低下していると感じています。

手話講師は、手話通訳者以上の資格を持つ方でなければならないという法整備を進めて欲しいです。

どれくらいの賛同を集められるか分かりませんが、この署名を通じて国や政府にこの問題を理解してもらいたいと考えています。

Recently, there has been an increase in cases where self-proclaimed sign language interpreters—who lack proper certification—or hearing individuals who have only just begun learning sign language are acting as sign language instructors. I feel that this has led to a decline in the quality of instruction.

I would like to see legislation enacted requiring sign language instructors to hold qualifications that meet or exceed those of professional sign language interpreters.

I do not know how much support this initiative will garner, but I hope that through this petition, the government will come to understand the issue.
