Dear Chair Bergman:

I am a nearby neighbor of the property located at 510-28 S. 8th Street (the “Property”). I have reviewed the application for the B’nai Abraham Chabad Jewish Day School on the Property. Specifically, this Application proposes the partial demolition of the existing 2-story building at the 2nd floor, interior renovations at the 1st and 2nd floor and the construction of a 3-story addition to the existing structure, to include a 2-story overbuild and roof deck access structures at 5th floor, with roof decks at the 2nd and 4th floors and at the 5th floor/rooftop level for use as an Educational Facility and three (3) residential dwelling units, together with twelve (12) interior accessory parking spaces and nineteen (19) bicycle spaces at the 1st floor, all as proposed pursuant to Meeting ID # MI-2025-003858, Application/Appeal No. ZP-2025-004139 (the “Project”).

I have no objections to the proposed development and use of the Property as presented. Accordingly, I respectfully request that the Zoning Board of Adjustment favorably approve this application to obtain the necessary zoning relief for the Project as proposed. Thank you for your consideration.
