Dear signers,
A few days ago, I was happy to share with you the first victory for our campaign to get Justice For Noura! The death penalty has been overturned and replaced with 5 years of imprisonment and a financial penalty but there are still many uncertainties ahead. There is a strong possibility that the deceased man's father will appeal the ruling that quashed the death sentence, and seek to reinstate it.
I first started the petition because I didn't want Noura to be executed and I won't give up until I am sure no recourse is possible.
Together, we have traveled a long road but the journey is not over.
Today, more than 1.5 million of us have mobilized around the campaign but now we need to reach even more people to ask Noura's rapist husband’s family to not appeal the Court's decision.
I want you to take one minute today to send the petition link to at least 1 person, so we can double the number of supports and exceed two million signatures.

Moreover, Noura has intimated that she would like to appeal the 5 years ruling and fine. So Noura's legal team is planning to file an appeal against her sentence tomorrow, on July 12th. I highly support them but I don't lose the main goal of my petition which is saving Noura's life.
How can you help more?
- You can send a letter of support to justicefornoura@gmail.com. Noura received a steady stream of support since May 11, 2018 that lifted her spirits.
- Comprehensive funding needs are being evaluated by Justice For Noura campaign team in correspondence with Noura’s team on the ground. I will keep you informed about it !
- Check for periodic updates and announcements on www.justicefornoura.com and the official social media pages (Twitter: justicefornoura, Instagram: Justice4noura)
Sudan is making positive steps toward legal equality for women, and we hope Noura’s case will lead to legal reform.
Thank you for your continued support and for standing in solidarity #justicefornoura
