Save C Courses at ACT Colleges

The issue

Certificate courses at ACT colleges are an important pathway to jobs as a part of college education. The ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies is deciding whether C courses are worth keeping for Year 11 and 12 students. This includes classes such as Outdoor Rec, Hospitality, Music Industy and Construction Pathways which all result in a nationally recognised certificate that give graduating Year 12 students a direct pathway into the industry and is an important alternative to university. These courses are under threat because the BSSS is working to remove these from ACT colleges.
