Even though June 21 is a horrific event for thousands of cats and dogs, the torture happens all year round. There has to be a permanent end to the cruelty used to slaughter animals and to stop the sale of cat and dog meat forever, everywhere. Cats and dogs need to be classified as domestic pets not live stock. The temporary ban the Humane Society insists is going to happen the week of the festival. I am also concentrating my letter writing to Washington D.C. in order to help pass H.Res. 30 Condemning the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and Urging China to end the dog and cat meat trade permanently. The torture is real and the horror needs to end for these truly special creatures.
