Myka Stauffer is a 32 year old youtube star that makes videos about her life with her family. They adopted Huxley, a little boy from China, knowing that he had health issues in 2017.  In October 2018, on her instagram, Myka said “I wouldn’t trade him for anything!” but recently she “rehomed” him. According to The Free Dictionary, rehomed means “to find another home for (an animal); place with another owner” I don’t understand why she would do this. She has been an advocate for international adoption and it truly seemed like she and the family loved him! When the family’s attorneys, Thomas Taneff and Taylor Sayers talked to Buzzfeed News about this case, they said ‘In coming to know our clients, they are a very loving family and caring parents that would do anything for their children’ (McNeal). If they were caring parents, why would they find another family to take care of Huxley? If we shut down Myka Stauffer’s youtube channel, Myka Stuaffer and her family won’t make money for all the content they posted about Huxley and his journey. Huxley and kids in the adoption process should not be treated like an item. They are kids, once you have signed papers to adopt them, they are yours and you can’t return them back to their country or send them to another family.  #CANCELMYKASTAUFFER
