Discipline can not be inherited. It is a quality that can only be built by you - yourself. Wearing Uniform to school does marks a sense of discipline but still as India develops, we need to develop our rustic , old school mentality too.

Getting caught up by teachers and punished for long hair  or narrow bottom trousers or short skirts or long skirts. This is where things start getting messy.

Take some chocolates to the school and the school confiscates them all and you end up celebrating your birthday with a negative feeling.

Take phone to the school and the school imposes a fine of 5000 bucks on you. No matter even if the phone was a Nokia 6600 or a Nexus.

They even get it unlocked and search for pejorative content in your phone and the students are like " Dude I got a personal life sort of something. I have an anti virus software in my phone to avoid hackers stealing my data so why the **** should I allow you to have a glimpse of my friend's photo hiding Chemistry notes in the washroom." And there gets your pal's private life disturbed too. 

All I want to say is that we can overcome this issue just by a small step towards freedom of expression of a student's life by allowing them to wear casual or formal ..any clothes that they want.

If you are worried about girls wearing minis to the school , sue them with 5001 bucks rather than imposing this fine on carrying phones to the school.

And behind the scenes the irony is that  many students even get the privilege of posting selfies with friends in the school premises just because their mother/father/guardian is  incumbent. 

And by the time they pass their high school, Alia Bhatt hits  the bollywood  with SOTY just at the age of 19.
