There has been a steep rise in rape cases in Uttar Pradesh in the recent times. The way women are treated is inhuman and unacceptable. Not only are the victims raped and killed but they are also hung and some of the victims’ limbs are also tied. What does this mean? What are the assaulters symbolising? Do they want to show everybody that a woman is nothing but a piece of flesh and she can be used for nothing but sexual purposes and cannot be given the basic right to live just because a man is done satisfying himself? Is this how we want to protect our women? 
This is done. The government has to take stringent measures to generate fear and give the appropriate punishment before the public takes the law in its hands.
