Smaller class sizes at N.J Macpherson would exponentially benefit learners with disabilities as they are disproportionately impacted by large classes 

Children are entering the school system at a tender age and require teacher attention and support which can be availed at smaller class sizes. BC has legislated 15 children per class

Students get to know each other better

There is less disruption and more time for instruction leading to individually tailored education

The teacher is less- overworked meaning they are in better health and state to teach the class

research shows that students in smaller classes perform better in all subjects and on all assessments when compared to their peers in larger classes

This being a COVID year, smaller sizes also reduce the risk of outbreaks should Corona virus enter the school system

Children will have space to better enjoy Montessori work. Currently most of the classes are over packed

Children can have better mental health- many have shown signs of anxiety and are visibly affected by the large class size particularly in JK Montessori. There is already a lot of change and stress on the kids, class sizes should not be on of them
