The Issue

June 28, 2023 is the date my family and I will never forget. Sadly, this is the date my son Simon Johnson was killed in a motorcycle accident. "I just wanna take a ride" were the last words my son spoke to me. He should have been able to take that ride and make it back home safely to his daughters but unfortunately someone made a deadly left turn and ended my Sons life.

Simon lived a good life, he was a great Father to his two beautiful Daughters. A great brother, a friend and a wonderful loving Son to me. His smile lit up a room for all to see. I don't ever want his memory to die, but, with your help it won't because I'm asking for you to please stand with me and the many other families who have lost loved ones due to careless drivers who don't take the time to look out for motorcycles. I have committed myself to bring awareness to motorcycle safety, by ensuring motorcyclist can take a ride and make it back home safely.

Please help me by asking your neighbors, friends, family, Congress and fellow registered drivers to YIELD before turning left in front of, or into a motorcycle driver. Let's ensure to keep them safe so they can return home to their loved ones safely. Please take the S.I.M.ON Pledge;

SAFE  INFORMED MOTORIST OPERATING NATIONALLY.

I pledge to:

• Stay safe while riding on my motorcycle or while driving my motor vehicle.

• Stay informed of my State laws while riding my motorcycle or while operating my motor vehicle

• I will network with other motorcycle riders to take “buddy rides” to be safe and be visually noticed by other drivers.

• I will stand with Simon Johnson's family as they Petition the Department of Transportation, Member of the United States Congress, Governors and Mayors of cities locally and through out America to make the necessary changes to ensure our roads are safe for all Motorcycle riders.
