63% of Iowa voters approved Iowa's Water & Land Legacy Amendment on November 2nd, 2010.  This vote created the Natural Resources & Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund - a constitutionally protected source of funding for:

- Protecting Drinking Water Supplies for Future Generations
- Restoration of Wetlands, Rivers, Lakes & Streams to Protect Fish & Wildlife Habitat
- Prevention of Soil Erosion and Protection of Iowa's Family Farms
- Prevent Future Flooding Through Investment in Wetlands and Watershed Programs

Nothing is more important than having safe water to drink, and clean water in our lakes, rivers and streams.  

Now it's up to the Iowa Legislature to fulfill the promise of the Trust Fund and provide funding through dedication of the first 3/8ths of one percent from the next state sales tax increase.  This would provide $150 million/year for Iowa's natural resources and outdoor recreation programs.
