I do believe that every unit owner should have a vote on a very costly clubhouse project. After all we all will be paying for it for years (as a special assessment).
As I see it the current club board is split, and our building has the deciding vote. Gentlemen we must remember that our election had 7 positions available and that’s why we all got elected. I believe that if all the owners in our building knew that we are about to decide the direction the club will go for decades they may have voted differently (I know I would have).
I would like to remodel the existing clubhouse. I have been a owner of 2 units in YARCOBR for over 3 years now and have not been able to use the facility I bought into. Chickee bar/restaurant gone for most of the time we lived here.
Then they decided to close the Clubhouse and not repair it as was instructed by the building department of BOCA Raton. Only now because they were backed up against the wall with threats of fines are they doing anything; I do believe that a vote should be taken when we are in season when most people are at the club and can decide the destiny of YARCOBR.
