Reissue the Yamaha SG-3

Reissue the Yamaha SG-3
The Issue
The Yamaha SG-3 (and SG-2) is a beautiful offset guitar design every bit the equal of the Fender Jazzmaster or Jaguar, or the Teisco Spectrum 5. The Fender offset designs have undergone a resurgence of popularity of late such that multiple options exist even in the budget Squier line, and even the less ubiquitious Teisco Spectrum seems to enjoy a reissue every decade or so.
But somehow the Yamaha SG-3 shape was only ever produced between 1966 and 1968. Over half a century later, surely it's time it made a comeback?
A guitar shape this nice should be in the hands of players, not doomed to become an obscure collector's piece.
