The XFL is an up and coming new professional football league and seeing as though it’s their first year, they will probably be needing inspiration for a few more teams in the coming years. The inspiration for the Cincinatti silverbacks comes from the internet sensation and tragic story of Harambe; The silverback gorilla who was shot and killed in the Cincinnati zoo, when a child selfishly endangered the lives of himself as well as all the gorilla’s in the exhibit. Harambe died protecting his Troop and could’ve very well been protecting the child from the screaming onlookers. If that doesn’t inspire “Team spirit” and on-field heroics, then I don’t know what does.
