We have deep concern about Xfinity’s decision to close the office in Provincetown. With only one high-speed internet provider in town, we residents will now have NO CHOICE but to travel to Orleans to access personal assistance and equipment for cable TV, telephone, and internet services. For some this may not be a problem, but for others, this is causing a great hardship.

We were fortunate to have a local resident staffing the Xfinity office in Provincetown for many years providing superior service with a smile. We are left with an empty Xfinity-owned office on Shankpainter Road in a town that prides itself on mutual respect, inclusion, and community service. This is the antithesis of corporate social responsibility.

Xfinity has an exclusive contract to provide service to Provincetown. That being the case, the least Xfinity can do is provide a local office to service the community.
