Holly Roberts bears some responsibility for the crimes of her husband Cody Roberts, who is embroiled in a legal scandal involving extreme cruelty to animals. He recently accepted a plea deal and is set to plead guilty or no contest to a felony animal cruelty charge. This appalling case involved running down a wolf with his snowmobile—a controversial but legal form of predator management —transporting the injured creature to his home, fitting it with a muzzle and shock collar, and then proceeding to take it to a local bar as if it were some twisted trophy. The animal was gravely wounded from the collision with the snowmobile and was made to suffer in pain and fear for hours before it was finally shot.

The situation is further compounded by the troubling involvement of Holly Roberts. She had knowledge of this heinous act and failed to take any action to stop or report it, implicating her as complicit in this brutality. Also troubling is the fact that video evidence from the bar suggests that the couple’s underage daughter took one of the videos from the bar. She is heard laughing and referring to Cody Roberts as “daddy.”  Media reports have shown the Roberts family as making light of the incident since it took place, with one family member posing with a wolf pelt in the bar where the incident took place with tape over their mouth, mimicking the tape that was put on the wolf’s snout before being replaced with a muzzle. No public official should be linked to such behavior and not even express remorse.

Holly’s role within a pivotal community board given the above is a serious concern, as it reflects on the ethical standards expected from public officials.

It is critical to ensure that individuals in roles of public trust adhere to the highest standards of integrity and humane consideration. By allowing Holly Roberts to maintain her position on the Planning & Zoning Board, we risk undermining the values that our Wyoming communities stand for. We must hold accountable those who turn a blind eye to inexcusable acts of violence.

Our demand is straightforward and essential: Sublette County Commissioners must take immediate action to remove Holly Roberts from the Planning & Zoning Board. Doing so will send a strong message that our community does not tolerate complicity in animal cruelty and that we demand those in public service roles to uphold moral and ethical standards.

Let's stand united for justice and for the voiceless victims of cruelty. Please sign this petition to urge the Sublette County Commissioners to act swiftly in removing Holly Roberts from her position. Together, we can ensure that our community reflects the principles of decency and righteousness.

If you are able please also consider calling or emailing the commissioners. Their names, phone numbers, and emails are listed:
