Recent inroads have seen many changes in uniform policies for girls schools within Australia. The inclusion of new items of clothing into school uniform policy has allowed a transition from the 'dark ages' uniform policies into a new age for young girls and women.

The same has not occurred for boys and young men. 

Changing the uniform policy for children of all gender expressions and identities will foster a new era of inclusion and diversity within education.
