يوم السبت الماضي الموافق 21 سبتمبر، وجراء عمليات التفتيش الذاتي والقبض العشوائي التي انتشرت بشدة في أغلب شوارع القطر المصري، خاصة المدن الرئيسية، تم توقيف الشاعرة/ أمينة عبد الله، بجوار منزلها بمنطقة وسط البلد، ومازالت رهن الاحتجاز حتى الآن في مكان غير معلوم.

وبعد أيام، في 26 سبتمبر، فوجئنا بأنباء أخرى تؤكّد اختفاء الكاتب الروائي/ محمد علاء الدين، من أسفل منزله بمنطقة الدقي. ورغم اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات القانونية لمعرفة مصير كل منهما، إلا أن الأجهزة المعنية لم تقدّم أية إفادات.

وبناءً عليه نطالب نحن الموقعين على هذا البيان، الكتاب والمثقفين والفنانيين في العالم أجمع، مخاطبة اتحاداتهم ونقاباتهم ونواديهم في مختلف بلدان العالم ومناشدة اليونيسكو، بوصفه الوجه الثقافي للأمم المتحدة، للضغط على النظام المصري ومطالبته بالكشف الفوري عن مكان تواجد الروائي محمد علاء الدين والشاعرة أمينة عبد الله، وتوفير كل الضمانات التي تكفل لهما حريتهما، وحقهما في التعبير عن الرأي.

Days later, September 26, we were surprised by other reports confirming the disappearance of novelist "Mohamed Aladdin" from the surrounding area to his home in Dokki area in Giza city center as well. Although all legal procedures have been taken to determine the fate of each, the involved bodies have not announced or declared any information regarding their disappearance neither any statements.

We therefore, the signatories of this statement, call upon writers, intellectuals and artists all over the world, to address their unions, alliances and clubs all over of the world, and appeal also to the UNESCO, as the cultural face of the United Nations, to put pressure on the Egyptian authorities and to demand an immediate disclosure of the whereabouts of novelist "Mohamed Aladdin" and poet "Amina Abdullah", and provide all the guarantees that guarantee them their freedom, and their right to express their opinion.
