We realize there are people who are fearful for the safety of their children during the covid-19 pandemic.  That is their prerogative.  However, after two years we argue for those who are being ignored.  Us parents and our children who are not scared.  Who realize the importance of social education.  Who realize that education is vital to the mental wellbeing of our children, our families and our communities as a whole.  For those of us who believe we will never be at a 0 risk point for any virus therefore we must LIVE and move on.  Our children need us to be brave and to fight for their right to education.  Any of us with children know how difficult distant virtual learning is.  As adults some of us have experienced it for ourselves.  Why must the masses be pushed into isolation without any say?  Why are doctors pleas for normalcy being ignored?  It does not have to be one way or another.  We can allow for choice.  We can allow for those who want their children taught virtually to do so and for the vast majority who desire social interaction for our kids to be heard and acknowledged.  The narrative must change for our children.   It is not a one sided story.  It is not going away therefore its time to make some changes.  Give our children the opportunity to learn in the way that their families see fit.
