The Brazilian Government is corrupt, and so are the Olympics. The 2016 Rio Summer Olympics are a result of bribery and crime. Rio is a crime-filled city with disgusting streets and awful water. The water is so bad, it is LITERALLY filled with POOP! Raw sewage is DUMPED into Guanabara Bay, where the contestants in the Olympics will compete. The corrupt Brazilian Government is spending BILLIONS of dollars building stadiums in Rio for the Olympics that will only be used for a few days, instead of helping their own people. They also kick out the people who live there, only to tear down their houses and build the stadiums in their place. The Zika Virus is also a threat, and people from all over the world watch the Olympics right there in the stadiums. If this many people are there, there are bound to be people who will get infected or who already are. Then they will bring the disease back to their home-countries and it will spread globally. Zika is PROVEN to cause birth defects, and this could lead to an entire generation of infected people. The only reason that the corrupt, crime-filled Olympics hasn't been stopped is because the people in charge are too greedy to care about the thousands of people who will attend. Measures have been taken to eliminate problems, but studies already show that they won't help much. Also, tourists face the threat of crimes such as robbery. Rio is filled with crime and there are sure to be people who will get robbed while there to see the Olympics.The Rio Olympics will be a DISASTER if they aren't stopped.
