Let’s combat the cruelty of the Yulin Dog Meat "Festival" with an international outpouring of love virtually as we honor the animals with whom we share our lives.
It’s promising to report that negative attention grows and many people in China also want this to end— so dog and cat meat sales and the restaurants that serve the meat have been declining over recent years. I
Much of that mindset grows because young people across China have fallen in love with dogs and cats and know — like you — that they make life better!
Dog ownership also has become popular among China’s growing middle class; there are now 62 million registered as pets. Animal activists, celebrities, and younger Chinese citizens have been increasingly vocal on social media about opposing the Yulin dog meat festival and the practice in general.
Together, we will end the Yulin "Festival" and dog and cat meat trade.
P.S.: Thank you for participating in our International Pet Appreciation Virtual Rally!
