Mr. Guthrie, a young 5s teacher at Wegienka Elementary School, was wrongly fired for consoling his students when they were upset by rubbing their backs. Mr. Guthrie is a kind and caring teacher, who has done so much for his student and the school, and did not deserve such treatment from the school board. If he were a female teacher, not one word would have been said. This is unfair and needs to be rectified immediately. A man's career can not be lost over a fearful and unjust decision made by the board.
