Without fifth grade band you are taking away these kid's introduction to music. Music is something that people can take with them and participate in for their entire life. People who take an active part in music perform better in school, score higher on test, and tend to be the best behaved students. The elementary school program feeds into middle schools and eventually high schools. Without the elementary school program you will make the upper classes suffer greatly in numbers, and without these numbers we lose our support. Save our entire band program by saving fifth grade band!
