Women’s rights protest against sexual assault
The Issue
Every woman you know will have been sexually assaulted or harassed.
Women everywhere walk around with keys in their hand, check their back seats, cover their drinks, cover themselves up, ignore whistles and car honks, avoid walking alone, share their location if they’re out on their own.
It is the harrowing reality for countless women and girls who live in fear, knowing that one in five women in the UK have been sexually assaulted since the age of 16, according to the Office for National Statistics. Yet, despite these chilling figures, justice often feels out of reach.
Sexual assault is a devastating violation, and its prevalence highlights systemic failures in our society. In Bristol, in the UK and beyond, we need to demand that the safety of women and girls becomes a non-negotiable priority. It's time to take action.
We are calling for a women's rights march in Bristol to give a voice to all the victims whose stories remain untold, who are let down by a system that too often silences them instead of offering support.
This march isn't just about raising awareness—it is about demanding change. We call for enhanced support systems for survivors, greater accountability and transparency in the police's handling of sexual assault cases, and the implementation of thorough prevention education in schools.
To achieve this, we need your support. By uniting, we will force policymakers to see that the status quo is unacceptable and that urgent reforms are overdue.
Join us in demanding that every woman and girl has the right to live free from the fear of sexual violence. March with us in Bristol and let your voice be heard.
Please sign this petition to support our march for justice and help ensure a safer future for women and girls in the UK.
