Wokingham Borough Council has recently more than doubled the cost of car parking at Dinton Pastures and California Country Park in an effort to increase income.  The charges are now much higher than other similar parks.  People are being deterred from visiting. Income for the parks and cafes is likely to do down not up and fewer people will use the facilities, which is the opposite of what the council should be encouraging. The car parking charges need to be reasonable and affordable so that as many people as possible can enjoy the country parks while the council still gets a good income from the charges.
