As we look ahead to 2023, I've already pitched the idea of 'Free Charlie Brown Days' - days where we e-mail Apple execs asking them to find a broadcast partner willing to air the Charlie Brown specials. Here's the schedule I pitched yesterday:

January 3 (last daily Peanuts strip - 2000)

January 6 (first Sunday Peanuts strip - 1952)

February 12 (anniversary of Charles Schulz's death - 2000)

April 9 (Peanuts featured on Time Magazine - 1965)

May 17 (Snoopy World War I flying ace stamp issued in 2001)

October 27 (It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown debuts - 1966)

November 20 (Charlie Brown Thanksgiving debuts - 1973)

November 26 (Charles Schulz's birthday)

December 9 (Charlie Brown Christmas debuts - 1965)

Had the idea to reference the 'I Got A Rock' scene from 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown', but that's a no go. Another idea I had would be to reference the jack-o-lantern modeling scene from the same special, but using apples instead - referencing Lucy bobbing for apples. Notes and hashtags would still be the same (#AppleHatesTradition and #FreeCharlieBrown).

Here are the list of contacts at Apple (so far) for Free Charlie Brown Days (will be updated as more come about):

Tim Cook - CEO: timcook@apple.com

Peter Stern - Business Lead, Apple TV: peterstern@apple.com (big shoutout to Viji Shook and Paulette Wright for this one)
