We continue our look ahead to 2023 and we finalize the #FreeCharlieBrown Days:
January 3 (last daily Peanuts strip - 2000)
January 6 (first Sunday Peanuts strip - 1952)
February 12 (anniversary of Charles Schulz's death - 2000)
April 9 (Peanuts featured on Time Magazine - 1965)
May 17 (Snoopy World War I flying ace stamp issued in 2001)
October 27 (It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown debuts - 1966)
November 20 (Charlie Brown Thanksgiving debuts - 1973)
November 26 (Charles Schulz's birthday)
December 9 (Charlie Brown Christmas debuts - 1965)
We can also use a couple of these days to send Jack-O-Lantern apples to Apple. One side of the apple can have a Jack-O-Lantern face drawn on it with the other side having a note with the designated hashtags #AppleHatesTradition and #FreeCharlieBrown. This would be referencing scenes from 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown' where Charlie models for a Jack-O-Lantern and Lucy bobs for apples.
If you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them. And again, here's the list of contacts at Apple (so far) for Free Charlie Brown Days [and I will be updating said list as more contacts come about]:
Tim Cook - CEO: timcook@apple.com
Peter Stern - Business Lead, Apple TV: peterstern@apple.com (big shoutout to Viji Shook and Paulette Wright for this one)
Now let's get our Peanuts gang back!
