The Village of Standish has grown exponentially over recent years and even after we were promised by the local Council to allow only 1,000 new houses they have allowed 2,000.

This has created more traffic issues and there have been calls for a bypass for many years but the voice is getting stronger as the situation with traffic getting worse each day.

The Local Council's response to this issue by widening School Lane is not an acceptable project as it will not solve the issue but it will waste millions that could be better spent to solve the issue.

Whilst there is the bridge to nowhere which was meant to be a bypass there are other options to help solve the traffic issues including a new rd of J26 and bring it back to Martland Mill, like the council officers have said was viable and cost-effective some years ago. 

Where ever it is, the traffic needs to bypass Standish as it is putting lives at risk if they widened School Lane or do nothing

So we the undersigned agree where ever it is Standish needs a bypass and we do not accept the widening of School Lane.
