Ohio, does it matter to you that your pet's animal hospital is not checked for hygiene, working equipment, record keeping, or protocols?
I have been working for years to see Ohio, animal hospitals inspected. The money is there, but the political will is not there.
It is my firm opinion that Governor John Kasich has failed Ohio pets and pet owners. It is Governor Kasich that appoints the members of the Ohio Veterinary Licensing Board. The Vet Board reports only to the governor.
This is Ohio's governor who wants to be a presidential candidate.
I want pet loving voters across this nation to take note of this.
Public health and public trust are at risk with an unhygienic animal hospital.
"Many pet owners are unaware that animals come with some level of risk for spreading bacterial and parasitic infections. Most healthy people won't pick up bacteria or pathogens from contact with a pet. However, young children, pregnant women, seniors and people with a weakened immune system -- including those undergoing treatment for cancer -- are typically much more vulnerable."
I'd like to know how each of you feel about not having your pet's hospital inspected.
